Preseason Information
STUDENTS WHO ARE INTERESTED IN BEING IN TIGER MARCHING BAND SHOULD SIGN UP FOR THE CLASS WITH THEIR COUNSELOR ON THEIR RESPECTIVE REGISTRATION DATE.
Camp TMB: Our preseason camp will cover fundamentals, music rehearsals, drill and routine, and team building and is required of all members. We understand that conflicts take place and ask that any conflicts be addressed at least one week beforehand in order to be considered and excused for a grade (excuses can be filed via the absence request page of this website). Students in leadership positions need to not only fill out an absence request, but talk directly to the directors about any prolonged absences, especially during band camp.
Expectations: Students will be expected and required to attend all competitions and performances in accordance with our attendance policy. Students will be expected and required to memorize their music by the date posted on our calendar once the season starts. Students will be expected and encouraged to practice on their own time and seek help from section leaders, drum majors, and the directors if they are struggling with music, drill, or any element within the Tiger Marching Band.
Can I do Sports and TMB at the Same Time?: Absolutely! Many of our students have participated in soccer, tennis, cross country, swimming, and football while still performing with the Tiger Marching Band. If there are conflicts, you are encouraged to talk to the directors and your coaches to make a plan. It would be ideal for students to be able to participate in both. As each student has a spot written specifically for them, it is especially important for students to be at all performances.

In addition, color guard is in charge of managing, spinning, and moving with large flags, rifles, sabers, and other props and equipment.
